IT Support Analysts make sure that everything tech such as computers, internet connectivity, hardware devices such as printers, projectors etc. work properly to ensure a smooth flow of work in an organization.
They also help resolve any technical issues which may arise for a Customer as they use the websites or applications of their organization such as password problems, transaction issues and the like.
Apart from being referred to as an IT Support Analyst, other names used to describe this role include; technical support analyst or Helpdesk assistant.

- Good communication (active listening, verbal and written communication).
- Tech inclined, always curious and proactive to resolve technical issues for family and friends having issues with their phones, laptops, and other devices.
- Able to reason logically.
- Patient to figure out the root of a tech problem and how to fix it.
- Willing to learn new things.

As an IT Support Analysts, you can work in any institution where computer devices and the internet are used for day-to-day business such as:
- Financial institutions like Banks, insurance companies, credit / debit card companies etc.
- Hospitals
- Schools
- Government parastatals
- Telecommunications companies.
- Local and multinational corporations.
You can work In-house where you are a full-time staff on the payroll of an organization; or you can work as a freelancer providing IT Support services based on clients' demands.

How much you can earn per year
As an IT Support/ Helpdesk Expert, you can earn anything between N99,000 to N300,000 per month depending on where in the world you get the job or the based on the quality and / or quantity of clients you work with if you are a freelancer.
