- Good communication skills (active listening, verbal and written communication).
- A high level of mathematical ability.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn writing code with Programmes like Java among others.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-solving skills.
- Planning and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, precision and accuracy.
- Teamwork / interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to consistently Upskill to remain abreast with new technology in their field of expertise.

As a Software Developer, you can work in-house, as a freelancer or with a Software Development agency to provide services for government, corporate or business organizations and industries such as:
- Software development companies, Financial institutions (like banks, insurance companies, exchanges etc.)
- Technology consultancies
- Telecommunications companies
- Public and private sector organisations
That utilize and rely on technology for day-to-day activities.
